How is everyone doing this weekend? Enjoying it?
Me myself just returned home from a work trip to Singapore. It's been like yearsss since I last stepped foot in the city. And I really had this weird feeling once I was in the city again.
It was a very short trip. Still, I enjoyed every second spent there.

(Dan flight ex-SIN tu penuh dengan pelancong² dari India. Memang ntah apa². Untuk flight yang setakat 50 minit tu, Passenger Call Button tu 'ting tong ting tong' for almost every 2 seconds. Paling mengarut request ialah mintak hot meal. Hak ena....kat Business Class pon serve sandwich je untuk SIN sector. Awak dok kat Economy banyak pulak demand. Senior crew cakap, flight ke Indian sectors macam itu. Ha! Early experience flight to Madras dah dapat dahh...)

I used to travel there almost every weekend before, or at least twice a month, when I was seeing this 'someone'. It was like a ritual already. I hopped on the next coach on Friday and back on Sunday. I did that for only-God-knows-how long is that!
I am not sure if this person whom I am referring to is reading this (prolly not), but I do hope that this 'someone' is doing fine, and that we get to meet each other again (and do coffee at Wheelock's Place, and go to New Asia Bar at Swissotel and more). I miss all that. Yes, I do.

Anyway, these photos below are the most recent ones that I snapped, using the new camera--Lumix LS15. But do not judge the camera based on the photos just yet since I am still familiarising with the features and user interface of the camera. They are totally different from my old IXUS. The photos below were taken few days after I purchased it, so I may not know how to use the camera yet.

As time goes by, when more and more photos coming in, then you may judge if the camera that I got at a bargain price of RM799 worthwhile for the quality of images produced.

Oh, and for this time, I did not put the typical zachba watermarks on the photos below. So, you may use them for your good deeds ;)

So now, I am presenting fellow colleagues and I.......those few who work together in the World's Best team. Yes, you read me right :)

Dan bukan senang nak amik gamba dengan pilot² tersinyum.......

ps: Ramai juga VIP yang saya served 2-3 hari ini. Jumaat lepas ada Datuk Seri Shahrizat Jalil dan juga Khairy Jamaludin. Khairy cumalah duduk di Economy sahaja, fyi. Tapi memang benarlah kata kakakku yang dia segak dan macho seperti semasa bertemu di Pejabat Majlis Daerah Rembau tidak lama dulu (kata Khairy tu pon ADUN Rembau kan....). Hari ini, saya served Menteri Pengangkutan, Datuk Seri Ong Tee Keat dan jugak Dr. Fazley Asmara Ini. Masing² duduk di Business Class. Fazley seorang yang berwajah bersih, seolah² ada aura, datang bersama PA. Sempat jugalah buat PR yang tak seberapa ini. I am still learning after all.....

Kucheng Trip Pt. 4

Hello hello.....

How is everyone doin'? Weekend is coming, so, what is the plan?

I am tapping this from a cyber cafe near to my house. Flatmates gone flying, I am left all alone again. Sigh....
Nevertheless, it won't be a long one. I am off for a shuttle flight duty tomorrow followed by a work trip to Singapore over the weekend. Any zachba readers from SIN keen to meet up this Saturday night? Perhaps we can go for a partay in town? Ha

Anyway, I have been actively involved in this facebook thingy past few days. So peeps, feel free to add me through my e-mail. Almost everyone at work have an account, so tak nice pulak rasenye kalau aku sorang yang takde.

And last but not least, this is the final part of my so-called report of my first trip to Kucheng. May I refresh your mind, I was lucky to made it with a batch boy. Yet, neither we felt like strangers to wander around even though we were virgins to the city.

Kucing or Kuching literally means cat in Malay. So like I mentioned earlier, we may expect lots of anything cats in the city. Like this one.

And guess who I met during my stay there?

I met with Faizal who was my roomie for 5 years when I was in Melaka. He is now working in the city for a gov-linked company. What a small world.

After a looong day, F and I decided to return to the hotel for a nap (and a bath in a hot tub).

I also managed to do this thing.

Kan ke takde keje namenye tu. After a long kira², I bought almost 300 postcards in Kucheng alone which prolly cost me around RM 300, maybe?

Later, we went for a dinner at a cafe located close by to the hotel called Khatulistiwa.

Funny thing was we actually planned to have our dinner at another cafe, called Rajah Brooke Cafe. The cafe looks cosy during our walk earlier in the day.

But later we found out they secure this candle-lite dinner concept which later I asked F,

'Are you sure to eat here? We both are wearing the same black T, tak ke nampak macam gay couple kita makan 2 orang?'

And F gave me that empty look which I understand la the meaning.

Why la nampak cemas?

We killed the time at the crew lounge after dinner.


And stupidly played this game.

Really, aku x tau main scrabble. Neither was F. Betul ke main dia camtu?

OK OK....dah la takat tu. Kekerengan idea.

Kucheng Trip Pt. 3

Hey hey Diary (and all zachba readers),

I am back! Missing me? Guess not. LOL

I have just returned home from a flight to Kuantan. Oh, how much I loved the hotel in Kuantan :)

It was also my first time to be the 'stewardess' in the Business Class cabin. Not that I had not serve the business class pax before, but this one was truly my first stand-alone duty. There were no stewardess on board and of koz la Leading Steward kene pilih yang paling jambu nak letak kat business class kan. Jambu kah aku? Haha. Seriously ketaq lutut.

More over, I was in China over the weekend. It was another remarkable flight since it was my very first duty flight with the new aircraft--B738. Scary! The analogy is simple. Let's say you baru dapat lesen kereta, and all this while you've been driving Kancil, and only Kancil. And tiba², kene suruh drive a 12-seater van. Kan banyak benda yang beza. Nasib baik dapat colleagues yang helpful. Thanks to the Almighty sebab tolong kat situ. Alhamdulillah..

And rumors said my colleagues and I will be called up for the Airbus class in July. Ha! Duty kat smaller aircraft pon tak master lagi, still terkial², camne nak gi bigger aircraft pulak?
Anyway, fyi, kalau fly Airbus, lagi banyak la coverage--Beirut, Istanbul, Dubai, Incheon, Perth, Delhi, Shanghai etc which also means, bigger money :)

Anyway, this is the second last report of my first trip to Kuching.

So, I was at Fort Margherita. The fort smelled very² stink! Bau hapak macam bau buku² lama.

There was I, standing on the Fort with the new Sarawak State Parliament Building behind.

And the Rajang River, the longest river in Malaysia behind me.

I guess this is where the Britons executed those who opposed them during the British Colonial Era (?)....

....still I wanted to take a pic in front of the door.

Splendid one!

And that was the hotel where fellow colleagues and I being put--Kuching Hilton.

Later, we went to this stall located nearby for our lunch. We ate.......Mee Kolo. Needless to say, it was our first time to eat the food.

Seriously tasty! Ouh....tak tido malam pikir the mee.

And later, F and I did continue our sightseeing around Kuching town.
What a visit to Kuching without going to the famous Cat Statues. Yes, there are more than 3 statues in Kuching.

Boring kan pose ni? Heck I am a boring person.....so expect all boring things from me la kan. Haha

Kucheng Trip Pt. 2

Dear Diary.

I am back! Back from a loong 'weekend'. I managed to meet up some friends for makan².
I met Shah on Thursday evening, and we went out for a dinner at this kedai maknyah. There were lots of maknyah. I cant recall where the place was, but it should be somewhere in Ampang area.

And on Friday, I met up with good makan²-and-shopping²-friends, Nadia and Betty. We went to Pyramid for some window shopping and then had a lunch at the Italiannies. It was my first time to eat there. Nadia as well. I will write my personal review of the place later on, OK?

And this afternoon, I received a very shocking news from Shah aka Boss whom I met on Thursday evening. He was admitted to the ICU, Ampang Puteri Hospital due to dengue fever. My Lord. I haven't get the time to visit him. I will try my very best to visit tomorrow after my work. Can you imagine, 2 ari lepas....dia OK. Gelak² together...and now dia kat ICU?
Pls get well soon sister... I was really speechless to know the news.

And to Nadia, my apologies that I could not accompany you to Kampung Pengantin for the wedding today. I just need to be prepared mentally and physically for work tomorrow. (Plus, aku kan dah gi situ.....LOL)

And below is the other part of my report of my recent trip to Kuching in Borneo.

So, we walked to the state musem from the hotel that could prolly cost us 20 sweaty minutes. Nevertheless, I enjoyed every step I made to the museum.

Signature pose, signature smile....what else? Oh yah....signature jeans. Ha!

And I liked the lawn too.....

We arrived at the museum quite early actually.
Giving the fact that my travel buddy, F, who came down early to my room at 7.30 am (when we mutually agreed to meet at 8 am), we were running out of ideas where to head to. The museum was still closed at that time.

To kill the time that we had, we walked to the State Munument which is located just nearby.

And have you heard about Rentap before? I mean Rentap, bukan SENTAP, OK?

We had to climb up roughly about 50 steps to get to the monument.

And boy I am pissed with the photo above.

I like it here. Kucheng is a very clean city, compared to KK and KL.

And what the h*ll?

We also went to the Islamic Museum, located about 200 metres away from the Monument. Kuyup jugak la ketiak.

And before return to the hotel after visited the State Museum, we took a walk at the Riverside. And we rode on the boat........
We certainly had no ideas where the heck we wanted to go to, we naik the boat....just for the sake it was written in the travel guide that every tourist to Kucheng must at least ride on the boat at least once. Ha ha!

We paid RM 0.50 each for a ride that lasted less than a min.

Muke keriangan dapat naik boat. Pls notice that the boat did not offer the life jacket, so in case kalo ade buaya how? Sila jawab Tok Menteri Sarawak?!

Oh.....how lucky we were then guided by some locals to Fort Margherita. At least tak la sia² naik boat kan...?

We just had to walk pass by this so-called kampung namely Kampung Boyan.

Memang je boyan yang duduk situ.

One thing I noticed about this particular tourist hotspot is, there were no proper signage to the Fort!

They just use this!

Again....what the h*ll kan? C'mon la........signage ke kenduri kahwin lagi meriah kan?

But duh~ I still enjoyed the visit.

Kucheng Trip Pt. 1

Dear everyone,

It's been long. How are y'all doing? Good? And how was the loooong weekend?
Mine was great! Managed to catch up with a couple of long lost friends in town, and now I am back to my working life.

I have just returned home from Saigon or better known as Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam yesterday, and today I am off to Kuantan!
It will be my first flight to the city, and also my first night at the hotel (obviously!). And yet I will be doing the same pattern next week. Just 1 way up, back to the hotel and 1 way down. Can't wait!

Anyway as I mentioned before, I will re-start to put up the photos on this blog again! Thanks to the new camera.
Just an exception for the photos on this entry lah. They were taken using someone else's camera. I was camera-less at that time. Ha!

If you still remember, I was on a trip to Kuching recently. The good thing is I was there with a batch mate, who was also a virgin to the city, just like me. Seasoned crews wouldn't be bothered to go out anymore so we did the tour together.

Frankly speaking, I have never traveled with a companion on my previous leisure trips, be Perhentian Island or Ubud in Bali, and the idea of traveling with a buddy freaked me out in a way at first. You know....the hard times to decide for the upcoming plans. Too much ideas is somehow doing no good.
But heck, traveling with F was very easy lah. And yet, we are now planning to visit EU later in this year or earlier next year ;)

The hotel that the company provides is located in the city centre. So everything is within walking distance from the hotel--the makan² place, handicrafts market etc.

And one thing nice to know is the MAS hotel is situated opposite to the 'RED' hotel! Meriah kan?

The tour began from the main entrance of the hotel.

Yea...this was taken in front of the 'Red' Hotel.

Apakan daya, 'Red' Hotel tak dapat menandingi 'Red & Blue' Hotel.

The very first place we visited was the State Museum.

As we were walking pass by on the way to the museum, we saw these....

It was closed at the time we were there :(

WTH?
Urut batang boleh dapat body muscular ke? Bullsh*t! Nak body camtu pegi gym la.... Konon² pegi urut tu boleh nampak macho macam dalam gambar tu laa.....?

And this was taken in from of the State Tourism Office, it was once featured on the Amazing Race Asia Season 1 (kalo u ingat, time Zabrina and Jojer kene pasang bangku kayu tuu...)
And the pencil-like building behind me is the new Sarawak Parliament building.

First Crew Flight Pt. 3

Good day everyone,

How is the weekend and the Easter holiday? Havin fun?

Yet, it is a quiet day for me here. Nothing much planned. Well you know, ever since I work in the industry, I truly treasure my off days. Hoh! It is just too much communication at work, well, I am sure you know what I mean. Duh~
