Muay Thai Superfights

Dear readers,

I received this letter last Sunday. I supposed it had been inside the mailbox for almost a week by looking at the date on the letter. I (and the other family members) rarely check the mailbox, for some reason.

My proof to you.

I actually just won myself a ticket to the Muay Thai Superfights this Saturday at Shah Alam's Melawati Stadium worth MYR 125 ! To all readers from overseas, Muay Thai is the Asian version of kickboxing. It will be the first time in Malaysia, though. Click here for more details of the fight.

I bet I am just purely lucky lah, selalu menang contest. Hehe

Some of you might say, wtf?! But honestly, I'm all excited to go. I have never seen live Muay Thai fight before.
The bad thing is, it is only one ticket! Nah....that would be boring....I wish I could take someone with me.

You can read here too!

At first, I thought my ticket would be the most expensive one, they did mention "First Class", after all. But I was wrong! There will be 2 more 'classes' in front of me--the VIP and VVIP! Now, I keen to know which Datuk's and Tan Sri's will be seating in front of me this Saturday.

How I wish I could get a free upgrade to the VVIP seating area. That must be fun. Anyway, I'm still grateful dgn what I have now :)

u know u love me, xoxo

Kampung Pengantin

Greetings peeps,

Last Sunday, I pindah my barang²s to rumah baru. You know, barang² I dr Melaka dulu pindah ke rumah parents now. And, it buatkan the whole house nampak cramped sgt. As you can see below, there are 10 boxes of my books alone, mase kat Mlk dulu. It looks mcm tak banyak, but when you susun² properly, in order ikut genre, author and size, you will see la kan how much space it will cost you.

I love to read. My fav books are those yang written by A. Samad Said and Ramli Awang Murshid.
Kalau English, my fav is Animal Farm written by George Orwell.

My girlpal in Mlk dulu penah cakap, yang I did not potray an IT student. It's so true! All I wanted to do after SPM dulu was nak amik Law, but you know.....bile family x permits :(

I still remember mase SPM dulu, I was the only person yang amik Kesusasteraan Melayu. Can you imagine I was surrounded dengan 6 invigilators and yang amik the exam was me alone?

I studied the subject sendiri, OK? No teacher etc. To admit, I tak dapat A1 for that paper, tapi I know it's something yang I can be proud of bile paper tu I PASSED. You know, even people yang amik KOMSAS dalam paper BM yang general tu pon dah susah, ni pulak bile you study hardcore literature. Mase tu, ade 5 textbooks I kene cover sendiri.

1 untuk drama and teater,
1 untuk puisi,
1 untuk cerpen,
1 untuk Hikayat Merong Mahawangsa (the scariest!),
and the other 1 I tak ingat, unfortunately.

Ok back to the story.
I was lucky yang my elder brother has offered me his house untuk simpan all the books etc. Not that kat rumah yang he's living now, but the other house yang dia tak pernah minat nak duduk pon.

Yang paling best is he even asked me to stay there, kate orang Melayunye mintak I jage the rumah. It's a pretty nice offer indeed. The house is fully furnished, 3 bedrooms, 2 baths and came dgn nice view. Yang I really kene ade now is a car, because locationwise, the house is located atas bukit and tak de bus yang serve the area.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

That evening pulak, I ke Kampung Pengantin in Jalan Ampang. My sister mintak I temankan her since the hubby is in Ukraine now on a business trip.

It was heavily raining that evening. I am rabun, very rabun, long sighted. And my sis pulak asking me to drive sbb dia tak make up lg. Can you imagine, bile you rabun, driving time hujan.....so kejap² brake. That resulting make up yang ala² badut on my sis. HAHA

Anyway, take a look at the photos of the wedding reception that I went that evening.

Some info:

  1. The bride tu mixed Malay and Indian

  2. And the groom tu mixed Chinese and Serani

  3. So, ape yang I nampak was a good mixture of ppl yang hadir. Same portion untuk Malay, Chinese, Indian and Serani. The most unique wedding I've even been to.

  4. The theme was garden-wedding.

  5. Was told the man behind the concept and everything was Pak Abu.

  6. The couple amik the cheapest package at minimal of MYR 15k

  7. And that 15k goes to 200 pax only.

  8. WHAT????!!!!

The interior. Flowers were everywhere.

You see, this happened bile you rush into things. I didnt realized that I slipped into this gym socks for the wedding!

Please guess what is this shyt?

Look closer! Look twice!

WTH?! I didnt know such thing does exist? It's a clutch holder. Belongs to my sis, of koz.

Table setting, so so laaa...

And out of sudden, ade sorang singh tepuk my shoulder and cakap "I know you...!" And I gave him this look.

You know, I get very² phobia and tak comfortable bile someone mention those 3 magic words. It could be a good "I know you.." and it could even be a bad "I know you...." Ask me personally, if you want to know why? But luckily, it was the 'good' one! :)

The menu. No veges on my table tho.

The dessert.

The teh tarik, or "pulled tea"

Sangkar Cinta Ziana Zain

Flower setting on the table. As you can see, ade 3 type of flowers yang mewakili 3 major kaum's in Malaysia. The berjurai2 Bunga Tanjung mewakili Indian, the Carnation mewakili Cine (like they pakai untuk offerings) and the Sundal Malam mewakili Malay. Interesting, ne?

The Bunga Tanjung I mentioned

The Sundal Malam

Another table setting

The bangku depan the rumah

The IKEA/Jonker Walk lamps

OK...event dah tamat.

Kalau you ade wedding at Kampung Pengantin someday, the place is located just a mile away from KLCC. It is just behind Holiday Inn Service Apartment in Jalan Ampang

Anyway, Congrats to the newly-wed Mikail and wifey. And on the far right is me and the one standing beside is my sis. Tak nampak macam make-up badut pulak? Haha

U know u love me, xoxo

the idiocy and senselessness someone

Guten Tag,

Wie geht es dir? Ich bin gut ;)

OK, where do I start?

Well I should say it was a 'splendid' weekend last weekend. I got up very early last Saturday just like the other day. Thought of heading to the gym, but I felt rather tired still. Tired dgn yesterday's work yang tak hilang lg and ditambahkan lagi dgn penat memikirkan how jauh the gym is.

Mind you, to get there (BV), I have to take the feeder bus from home to Cempaka STAR Station. Then, LRT to Masjid Jamek Interchange. Then Putra LRT to Bangsar Station. Finally, from Bangsar Station to BV. You see, leceh kan?

I have to have like 2 hours or so, just to get to the gym. How I wish the country ade system yang really integrate for buses and trains, just like the neighbouring country, S. Looking at the mirror these days, I feel rather sick and unhealthy. I dont feel so good. Call me, self-obsessed, I coudnt agree less. I used to be 'big' before with lean-to-muscular body frame, but now...I am none but a skinny lazy ass.

During my first day at Celeb the other day, I managed to do my fitness test after so long. The reading goes like this:

Body Fat % (BF) = 17.3%
Total Weight = 72kgs
BMI = 22.2

I was like WTF, when I got to know my current BF%. It used to be 12%, and that was only measured end of last year when I was a gym rat back in MLK. I have put up 6% in less than a year!

I know it's mad!

Check out the before and after photos below.

HA?! OK OK the summary: I lost few kgs, lost the cutting, gained 6% of BF, and increased the BMI too!

Duh~ it's scary. That's the only drawback la bile stay dgn family. U know, being a Negri's, my daily diet goes like this

  1. Weekdays means nasi lemak, lunch with lots of fried cookings, balik rumah, masak
    lemak etc
  2. Weekends is even unhealthier. Same menu like above plus
exteremely a lot of junk foods :(

Sad, ne?

Anyway, back to the story. Since I malas to go to the gym, I decided to lay my ass off in Starbucks' couch. I was in need to check my email anyway, so, it was a good excuse.
Texted few people in town, and I ended up going there solo :(

As usual, I headed to KLCC. They have my favorite Starbucks in Malaysia, located at Level 3 (as well as the one at level 5 in Pavilion).

The cafe was full-house. So nak x nak, I ordered my cup of latte first and pergi la menebeng mane² seat yang empty. I am known to friends that I bukan jenis nak segan².

And I shared my table dgn a girl. A pretty girl actually. At first I thought she was Chinese--funky hair style, pierced eyebrow, almond eyes, very fair skin and wore Harajuku-type of outfit.
But I was wrong! She was not Chinese, not even a local. A Viet visitor, instead.

We chatted a bit. Well, she was VERY CHATTY! I was and am still very surprised actually, that she had the trust in me and left her new VAIO laptop twice while she went to the loo. Kalo I, mmg x la nak senang² tinggalkan laptop kat unknown.

But she is not the main subject I want to tell. My laptop battery had almost gone flat about 20 mins later. The only plug yang ade was just beside me, and someone was using that I know.

Habis all floor I carik, none yang free. So, I pon terpakse la ask permission of that guy.
The dialogue sounded like this:

Me: Excuse me Sir, will it be OK if we share the power plug?

He : I'm using (with no courtesy to look at my face)

OMG! Don't you rase dia mcm b~^*? Since dia pakai laptop yang same brand dgn mine, and I can see from far yang laptop dia dah fully-charged (indicated in yellow color), that's why la I have the courage to ask him. Tu laa...orang nak pakai laptop dia nak pakai laptop, tapi tak tau basic operation. Ni mesti kes x bace manual.

And guess what? He was a Malay guy! An ignorantly stupid Malay guy!

Spent a couple of hours in Starbucks where then I walked to Royal Selangor to pick up my flask. I sent my flask here couple of weeks ago to repair a dent as well as to polish it. The flask is a signature design of Erik Magnussen for Royal Selangor.

Man, they cost me a BOMB just for the 2 minor services.

geez...they wrapped it with love ;p

The so much beloved flask

I'm an ardent Royal Selangor lover. I've also got myself few accesories from them.

Well, u know u love me. xoxo
