Dear Diary,

I am back to KL! How is everyone doing? Still in Raya mood?

My trip to Taipei was not so bad. I kind of enjoyed it. Did some shopping and lots of walking around the city.

My expectation about the city ternyata meleset. Auww....!

Taipei is an old-fashioned city, unlike HK and Shanghai. And I dislike old-fashioned cities. I like big cities with ultra modern architecture. It is not fair enough to make a comparison tho just how I hate when people start to compare KL and Singapore. Eughh......!

But I found the locals are nice (and cute too). They are softer than the mainland counterpart.

Just to share with you, some of the stuffs that I've got for myself recently. I did tell you that I was dying to pamper myself after 2 huge events ever happened to my life, in this year alone--that I graduated with flying colors from uni and landed on a job that I like.

And these are the items. They are my new toys. I love toys :p

I am still a beginner. Need guidance and lots of tutorials before I can master this big toy.
I am very happy for being able to have my hands hold onto this camera now. Alhamdulillah, ada rezeki.

Since I am a rough type of person, I decided to give a go with the Protection Plan. Now I can sleep well.

Typical (ex)MMU student. Download mendownload is macam makan nasik.
I just need a bigger storage for all the mp3s, movies, photos and whats-not. Burning stuffs into CD/DVD is just not my thing.

**New Read: Hijab Sang Pencinta

Hola diary,

I was at Kinokuniya bookstore in KLCC last Friday, where I met Iza who was browsing some magazines on the shelves. Aiyo, it was a pathetic yet embarrassing moment la that time. Ha ha.

Anyway, I grabbed this new book written by Ramlee Awang Mushid, my favorite author for Malay novels (other than A. Samad Said) who happened to write some other good stuffs before like Adam and Tombiruo.

If there was Agatha Christie who was best known as a writer of murder mysteries in English, this guy is her version in the Malay saga. Trust me, you will love Murshid's writings.

Last Week.....

Dear Diary,

I truly had fun last weekend. I managed to watch 3 movies that I was dying to see for months! The movies are

1. Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory (the 1971 version)
2. Jumanji (starring Kirsten Dunst)
3. Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom, that was released on the same year I was born

I also went for a job interview last Saturday and was in town again, on Sunday to run few errands. I was alone, like always :(

I had my hair cut on Saturday evening. Man, it had been like ages since I last went to 'Mamak' to get my hair trimmed and all. To be exact, I last went to Mamak in year 1996, when I was a super senior in my elementary school! That was 12 years ago!

The reason is, giving it 3 years I stayed at boarding school until 1999, followed by 2 years of free hair cut from my elder brother (since he own that hair machine, and I hate the look anyway), and the rest of the remaining 12 years I frequented a salon shop in Melaka. And now, since I don't live in the historical state of Melaka anymore, nak tak nak, kene la carik a new alternative.

And I found one! Located at Jalan Kuari in Cheras, this small shop is running by 2 mamaks.

And the rate is dirty cheap too, for RM 9, I got a nice hair cut that I like a lot, plus a complimentary shoulder massage and also, a BACK massage.

I didn't know mamaks these days ade offer such package--hair cut and massages!

As soon as I finished everything, I dashed to the bus stop to catch a bus ride home and I found these 2 advertisments pasted on the ceiling of the bus stop. **typical local attitudes! But what actually caught my eyes was what written in one of the papers.
