Nov/Dec 2010 Wishlist

Greetings,

Heya Hi.
I am back in KL. Home sweet home. How are things on your side? And for those in Malaysia, how was the long weekend?

I hope it is not too late to wish everyone a very Happy Diwali nal Valtukal. May you have a peace, harmony and wonderful year ahead.
***Ohh...the 'laddoo' made special for Diwali Day that we served on flight was damn good. Any idea where to get good laddoo in KL? Brickfield area or at Jalan Masjid India?

Anyway, I will upload the pics from my EuroTrip later in the upcoming entries (now I remember this is like a cliche where I keep telling readers that I will share the story and photos from my travels 'later' but realized that I never deliver :p).

But for now, let's check out these items.

Been dreaming about for the past few days. I woke up at night, thinking of these toys. How nice if they could become mine.

1-Leica M7 limited Edition Hermès

O Lord, I'm crying just to see how beautiful human has made this stuff. Look at the Orange color. It is so me!

It is not just a camera, it is a fashion statement.

Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful!

And guess, how much is the damage? Close to 8500 Pound Sterling =\

But heck, if one's can afford Audemars Piguet and Richard Mille watch worth 30,000 Pound, why not for the camera?

But mind you, this Leica is a limited edition of 200 units only available worldwide and model ni dah lame. Came out year last year, so I believe model ni dah abes. As for me, memang la tak mampu. The price of the camera equals to my salary for one year! I simply cannot afford this brand. Even the small compact D-Lux 4 model.

But say I can buy this camera, it won't be for my daily usage, but more to future investment.

Oh money, please come to me.

2- Dr. Martens 8-eye leather boots

I know ramai yang akan buat mata when they read this. Boots ain't for me. And it won't be normal if I wear boots. So mat rempit. So mamat Oi and Punk.

Whatever it is, I must tell you that I fell for these boots!

Samalah dengan my hi-cut Converse. At the very beginning, I must admit that I did not feel comfy in hi-cut sneakers and even people around me had noticed that! But as time passed by, I started to feel alright! It is not that bad or rempit actually!

But this one is for sure. I'll get myself a pair of this anytime soon. The damage is USD120. More or less RM500.

You know, when you keep on dreaming and thinking of something, that means u just gotta have it.

But the problem is, aku nak pakai apa dengan boots ni heh? What goes well with the boots? For sure bukan dengan shorts yang short macam my wardrobe staple? Geez....tak kesah. Janji aku ade satu.

Gotta dash. Happy weekdays people.

Tschuess.

U know u love me,
xoxo

I Need More Space

Not in terms of relationship or the place I live in now but I'm dying for a bigger storage space for my media files!
My 1Tb MyBook has reached its full limit!

So I am eyeing on these 3 external HDD.

MyBook v 3.0

My PassportElite

MyPassport EssentialSE

I like the better storage space of MyBook v usb 3.0 at 2Tb, but it is a bit bulky and not so handy to bring along during my travels.

Has anyone of you out there uses any of these 3 external HDD? If yes, please feed me with your comments.

U know u love me, xoxo

Mi Rewards

Dear Diary,

I am back to KL! How is everyone doing? Still in Raya mood?

My trip to Taipei was not so bad. I kind of enjoyed it. Did some shopping and lots of walking around the city.

My expectation about the city ternyata meleset. Auww....!

Taipei is an old-fashioned city, unlike HK and Shanghai. And I dislike old-fashioned cities. I like big cities with ultra modern architecture. It is not fair enough to make a comparison tho just how I hate when people start to compare KL and Singapore. Eughh......!

But I found the locals are nice (and cute too). They are softer than the mainland counterpart.

OK will update more later.

Just to share with you, some of the stuffs that I've got for myself recently. I did tell you that I was dying to pamper myself after 2 huge events ever happened to my life, in this year alone--that I graduated with flying colors from uni and landed on a job that I like.

And these are the items. They are my new toys. I love toys :p

  • Nikon D90 DSLR camera
I am still a beginner. Need guidance and lots of tutorials before I can master this big toy.
I am very happy for being able to have my hands hold onto this camera now.
Alhamdulillah, ada rezeki.

  • the new iPod Classic
Since I am a rough type of person, I decided to give a go with the Protection Plan. Now I can sleep well.
Terlepas hajat bertahun² nak beli iPod.

  • Western Digital 1TB My Book
Typical (ex)MMU student. Download mendownload is macam makan nasik.
I just need a bigger storage for all the mp3s, movies, photos and whats-not.
Burning stuffs into CD/DVD is just not my thing.

  • LAT The Early Series
I love LAT. I own a complete set of Kampung Boy series.

  • A Thousand Splendid Suns by Khaled Hosseini.
I got carried away with the story telling. 2 thumbs up! Half way to go.

  • Tunku Abd Rahman Putra Al-Haj graphical biography by e.Yu

  • and few collector's items magazines.

And now you know why I am so broke (but feeling very happy) this month. lol

No regrets, more to discover and learn from the items purchased. Lovin' it!

U know u love me, xoxo

New Wishlist.

Hey hey,

They are here! I mean the new products by Apple and Leica. It is mental orgasm! I so want these babies.

iPod Classic, 160Gb
Price: SGD 388 (roughly MYR 800)
Notes: No new features, except the capacity has been increased from 120 to 160Gb. (Dulu pon iPod classic memang dah 160Gb, before they reduced it to 120 and added the 'musical Genius' feature. Now kembali 160Gb)

Leica X1
Price: Will only be available nearer to date of launch, January 2010
Notes: Nah, the features are almost similar to other conventional compact digital cameras in the current market but hey, it is Leica!

Minimalist, it is.

Leica M9
Price: £4,850 (around MYR 25, 000)
Notes: Good things come in small package.

Any Zachba readers kind enough to make donations into my bank account? I may need financial aid for the 2 cameras above. Haha!

Weekend is here, still I need to go to work on Sunday. But I am looking forward to that, since I will be flying with my batch mate ;)

U know u love me, xoxo

New Wishlist.

Dear Diary,

Good day.

I am now planning to buy a new phone, just to replace the one I am still using, the very sincere 6 y.o Nokia 3200 that was given by my Brit-ex for my bday.

I still remember, during that time, the model was the very first mobile phone with a camera. Kire canggih la time tu. And I am a type of person yang selagi bende tu elok, I akan pakai. But recently, phone keeps giving troubles. Considering the nature of my job where I need a 'usable' handy beside me 25/7 (pun intended), I just need to buy a new one. Kalau tak, memang I will still pakai this Nokia 3200 forever and ever.

Other people are so hyped with the iPhones, which I particularly like as well.
But after a deep thought, it just wouldn't (or couldn't) suit me very well.

You know, I ni jenis yang kasar. Ditambahkan lagi the fact yang iPhone tu touch screen, lagi susah.

I like the phones below.

BlackBerry Bold

BlackBerry 8900

Nokia E75

Nokia E63

It is either a BlackBerry or a Nokia E series that uses QWERTY keypad. And most of all, the design must be a candybar. I dislike clamshell. Eu...

I have made some research. Almost all 4 of the above come with similar features.

But who knows if you ade pendapat sendiri?

HELP!

Choices

Dear Diary,

Happy weekend. I have just returned home from an 'unexpected' trip to Kuching, the cat city of Sarawak. It was fun and a truly eye-opening experience.

And tomorrow I am off to Borneo again, for a week trip, which means I won't be back to KL until next weekend. I am not sure what to expect, I have just never done long flight trip before. I hope it will be a good one.

It is a very quiet Sunday morning here I must say. A flatmate, F, who was also my travel buddy to Kuching had gone back to parents', and the other flatmate, Z, is still in bed. I must tell you, he really treasures deep sleep; unlike me, 5 hours of sleep suffice enough before I start a new day.

Anyway, I am actually quite doubtful regarding this--which one is going to be my soon-to-be-new camera. You know, shyt thing just happened where I lost my old iXus 700. Bengang OK!

And now I am thinking to grab a new camera.

The criteria is simple, as I know, but the options is too many to choose from. It is certainly giving me a headache! I am the type of person who likes to take my sweet time to read reviews and comments before I invest on something (I guess that is also the reason why I am still solo at this age?).

The idea is like this: I am searching for a compact digital camera that fits into my pocket easily. I do like Digital SLR (DSLR) camera as well, but since I travel a lot for work (a lot!), and the nature of my work does not permit huge things to be carried along the way, I just dont think it is a smart idea. You know, cabin crew punye manual je dah penuh satu beg troli hence I want a compact one.

I have used Olympus before, but heck the photo quality is just that bad--too much NOISE.

And also my Canon, great photo quality but the color is a bit 'untrue' or the pro term is unnatural.

I also have a friend who owns a new Nikon compact digi-cam, but yucks....really surprised the photos taken with the camera look really awful.

And I am just not a big fan of anything that uses touch screen so it is a no no for Sony Cybershot.

And all the comments above are based on my personal experience.

So what else left for me?

The answer is Lumix by Panny ;)

And here are my final Top 3.

DMC FT1

DMC FX150

DMC FS15

I have many reasons why I keen to go for this brand. One of that, is the lens they used--Leica lens. Other than that, the camera features!
Bear in mind, it is not the MP that turned my head, since it don't play much role on my needs.

But really, I fell for Panny the moment I saw the cameras.

Maybe you can help myself, to justify the one from the 3 cameras above that I should go for whether it is bad or good, worth every penny spend on the camera and the like.

I am looking forward for your words.

Love,
Zx
