I Am One of The World's Best

Greetings,

It is 1.03am now, and I am still awake. Thank you to the neighbors for that undisturbed nap I had this evening. I treasure it very much. These days, nak tidur malam pon susah, inikan pulak nak tidur siang.

Anyway, just to share. Just recently, Malaysia Airlines, yes, the company that I am working for, wins the 5-Star Airline (the 5th year) & the World's Best Cabin Staff Award (the 7th time) for 2010!!!

I just received the news from a colleague and boy, I am elated!

Well, my colleagues and I work hard, and it just pays!

The world recognized us, again. You may read the whole news here and here. Or simply google it ;)

Kita kan orang Malaysia, dan orang Malaysia kan 'people's people'........

Congratulations to all Malaysia Airlines crew especially, and of course, to all Malaysians as well ;)

Oh semua, marilah terbang.......
terbang tinggi bersama

The 10th Multimedia University Convocation Day 2009

Taken at Carl's Jr., Pavilion. Ada berani pakai topi konvo at public area?

Dear Diary,

Greetings.

I was fortunate enough to be able to attend my Convocation Day last Monday. It was one of the most remarkable day in my life, and the most memorable one as well. I am very thankful to the people at the Flying Academy for giving me permission to attend the ceremony (I did mention all the hassles in previous entries).

The ceremony started early in the morning. Both Ma & Pa were there, so did my 2 elder sisters and 3 nephews. Really
aku bersyukur to Allah Almighty that I was be able to have Ma & Pa at the event. Alhamdulillah, panjang lagi umur mereka and sempat tengok me going up on stage taking the scroll from the University Chancellor, Tun Dr. Siti Hasmah Mohd Ali, wife to the ex-PM, Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamad, who is also the Chancellor to another private uni in Malaysia.

Now at mamak at BB Plaza, still with the hat on.

Actually, I did not turn up at the rehearsal held days before the actual event took place, due to work reasons. I was lucky enough that an old colleague of mine, Fad, had helped me with the convo items (robe, hat, yada yada) collection, as well as smart card activation.

Oh, did you know that the uni uses a very cool system upon scroll collection on stage? Will tell more in a bit.

Anyway, many thanks to you again, buddy.

Hanis, one of the rich brats in my batch. He drives Celica, SLK and Harrier.
And yet, a very soft spoken guy, softer than me. Hah!

The event was a successful one. Everything went smoothly. I really like the idea of e-everything for the convocation.

The one thing that surprised me most was the music they played during the Perarakan Graduan masuk ke dewan (I don't know what that is called in English). Some of the songs are actually the same songs that I listen everyday at work during pax boarding into the aircraft. Somehow it was quite funny.

Fellow internship colleagues at the National Archive of M'sia.

I myself was the 27th person to go up on stage to receive the scroll that morning.

Initially, I thought that it was a free-seating like ceremony where we can sit with our company, as what the seniors said for their convocation in previous years. But starting this year, the uni sits the graduates according to the major.

So, graduates from the Faculty of Information Science and Technology were the first to go up, followed by uni mates the from Faculty of Creative Multimedia and Diploma graduates.

He was a uni mate, and now a neighbor and also a work colleague!!
Both of us took hardcore major in uni. Me, Information System Engineering and he did Interface Design.

I saw a lot of changes amongst my uni mates after have not seen them for quite a while. Like this one below.

We used to do crazy things together and now she wears TUDONG?!!!
Her bf was there, her new bf. A very hunky Australian guy. Aku wonder mane la ko kutip mamat tu, Yoy?

But this one below remain the same. She befriended this Sudanese man , who is also a uni mate since the very first year in uni. I thought they would split up one day, you know.....couple Arab Melayu ni selalu tak menjadi but.....after many many years, they are still together!!

Bila mau kawen?

Jugak masih sama mereka berdua.

The event finished at 11'ish. Quite early then what scheduled.

As I got out from the uni (I felt like coming out from Hogwarts) I went straight to my family, in order to 'redeem' the flowers. Ha! And of koz to say thank you to Ma & Pa for all the things they had been giving me, until I dah pandai carik duit sendiri.

It is no fun (and apparently no cool) la kan to walk around on convocation day without a bouquet in hands..

Just exactly a moment before I returned the robe.

Cam w**** memang camni.

I also managed to meet some old friends at the event. Like this one.

Good luck for the ACCA my dear.

Oh, the system I mentioned earlier on works like this.

During the rehearsal day, all graduates are required to test the smart card. Our uni smart card, to access the system.

During the actual event, we were to touch the smart card on the squarish mouse-pad like paper, and as we receive the scroll, our name will appear on the main screen located at the centre of the stage together with our photo, as well as our thank you message. Very cool, is not it?

What a visit to Cyberjaya Campus without taking a photo here.

That day, I received these:

Just a dummy.

The hat tassle, see my year of Class graduated?

Since my smart card can't be activated, I used the special Convo Card. Melayang RM 20 for that!

The Convo Book.

The car sticker. Yes, kene simpan jugak....kenangan kan?

The DVD of the event. As soon as we got out from the hall, the DVD is already there for sale. Dont ask me how they do this, I myself pon surprised jugak. Kata pon Multimedia. How I wish the format was in HD.

The Invitation Card for the parents.

The event DVD.

Ha...now this is the actual scroll. We dont do the conventional paper scroll but were given the CD.
They call it e-Scroll.

Now you can read everything about the e-Scoll here. MMU is the first uni in the world to use this e-Scroll thing.

And.....

The flowers I received. A bouquet of white lily and a bouquet of yellow roses.

U know u love me, xoxo

9th Multimedia University Convocation Day Pt. 4

Good day everyone.

How is your Monday so far? Mine is a quiet one.

I am working for almost a week due to my Cabin Crew graduation this Wednesday. Provided anyone of you free and have no plans for this Wednesday, feel free to head to Malaysia Airlines Academy located at Kelana Jaya for the graduation ceremony. The event will start at 1430 hours. I bet most of the readers out there have no idea how the graduation for cabin crew will be like, heh?

It is a medium-scale event. Dato' Idris Jala, the super-genius Managing Director will prolly be there. Apart from that, I will be giving out speech on behalf of my batch. And the fun thing is, you may want to see lotsa performances by the crew itself!

Datang jangan tak datang, OK?

Anyway, this entry is the continuation part of the previous entry.

During the Convocation day, my friends and I did participate in the studio photography session, for the sake of so called 'memorabilia'.

The idea is simple. We had to pay a certain amount of money for the photo shoot, since the fees is not covered for the graduation and do the casual pose! I mean casual, no skema2 portaiture.

Babe, u stand there...I stand here, and you do the cheeky look. Ha!

Prison Break berangan.

Ah.....I see striped undies.

And the result!

9th Multimedia University Convocation Day Pt. 3

O yeah, it is yet another part of the Convocation Day.....which was held last year.

Malas nak taip.

Wait! I think I know the middle girl....look at the last photo below.

Dear Mohai, why la ko ni macam perempuan yang tak macam perempuan.

Haa.....I think she was the one yang berangan dok atas kerusi tu time Miss MMU 2005 dulu when dia actually first runner up je... ha!

9th Multimedia University Convocation Day Pt. 1

This is yet another 'history' to be told by me.

The event was held looooong time ago, dated in Aug 2008. Heh. Blame me for the delay.

The truth is, it was just not my graduation, just yet. It was my friends' graduation. I still remember, I was still working with NAM at that time, and out of sudden, Mohai, a good ol' friend of mine called me and invited to join her for the ceremony. I was not really sure if that was a good idea.
She eventually managed to convince me and *voila~ she then kinda 'kidnapped' me from my work place. Crazy lah!

Anyway, the photos:

Ha....look what's on my hand. My old camera! Aiyo....

Signature smile. Ntah sape² yang grad pon tak tau la...

Aiyo....you got my respect la bro. An OKU who also earned his degree. Brilliant young man, he is.

Apai...ko keje mane now? Why senyap je?

Din, next time, bile ko nak fly to Kampala, pls contact this guy.
He we was the one I was telling you who live in Kampala.

The one in the middle was my partner for my Final Year Project (FYP) before.
Aiyo...very rock headed la this fella. Maki camne sbb tak buat keje pon dia still mcm tu.

....to be continued.

Beckham, Again..

OK OK, before anyone out there make a mistake, I did not copy this from other blog or something. This is based on my observation and study ;)

The very first 2 photos are the Beckhams at the Beso Restaurant, own by Eva Longoria. They looked nice, like always.

And these 3 photos below showing David at the Teens Choice Awards 2008. How cute he brought the kids up on the stage together with him, heh? But there is ONE thing for sure that truly caught my attention! Look again at what he wore during the 2 events!

OK OK, I was referring to his shoes. Yes, the shoes. David was wearing the same pair of boots (and the belt too actually) in the 2 events. You see, even David Beckham pon pakai kasut same in the 2 huge events! Yes, we are talking about this multi-million dollar man! The one who gets tens of millions in a year!

So, my point is, why bother kite yang earn setakat 3-4k Ringgit a month on things we don't need to? Beckham pon tau maksud favorite pair of shoes and mix-and-match.

And why bother nak claim 'oh yeah, I am an outrageous shoe shopper!'. My reply is 'B.U.L.L.S.H.Y.T'.

u know u love me, xoxo
