Hello 2010

Dear Diary,

Greetings.

Happy New Year 2010!!! Wohooo.......! How was the party last night? Was it a heavy one, or did you just stayed in watching DVD and then snoozed off? LOL

2009 was a great year for me. A lot of big events happened to my life (and surroundings), and not to forget those happy times and those not-so-cool moments.

As for this year, I am expecting more great things to come alive into my life. New year resolution? It's a no no. Zachba has never set up any. I just can't make do any NY resolutions. I am not going to commit into things that I know that I cannot do. People cakap nak be a better person lah, less clubbing lah, nak pakai tudong lah, less mengumpat lah, ape lah, itu lah, ini lah.....by the end of the year, orang yang beriya beresolusi tu same je macam dulu. Cet poooodah!
Most of the cases that I met, itu la gayanya. Cakap je berapi.....

Year 2010 also means more travel for me, I mean those for leisure bukan kerja. Traveling while on duty and for leisure banyak bezanye esp restrictions etc.

3 short holidays are confirmed.

Phuket, Thailand.

Chiang Mai, also in Thailand.

and a family holiday (18 of us) in Langkawi, Malaysia.

And I still have another one, that is still in the planning phase, which is the annual major holiday. Ewaahhh...

I simply cannot make up my mind yet. There are several things to look into, esp budget, my makan yada yada. It could prolly be in the Europe, or the United States, Africa or in Down Under. Any recommendation/suggestion, peeps?

Anyway, I better go now. Oh, btw, for the very first time ever in my life.......I dilantik sebagai pengapit pengantin for today and tomorrow. Wow, I gain another experience by the first day of the year already.

To Nadia and Azli, Selamat Pengantin Baru. ***Nadia, jangan la ko buat tebiat tak bangon tido teros esok pagi kan. Hahaha...

U know u love me, xoxo

Mein Engagement Pt.4

**Please read the other entry here.

Dear Diary,

I was actually main² regarding my statement that I was engaged to a girl called Mino-chan Mali Chan. Actually it was her engagement with beau--Nani Nino-chan.

Me nak bertunang? Aiyo...sapelah nak patik si pacar yang hina ni?

Anyway, below are the final 10 photos taken at Mino's, where the event was held.

Mohayop.

Muke cabin crew yang annoyed dengan request passenger yang macam². Haha

Haa....this is the one who got engaged. Not me. Cakap nak gi Kampala....sampai now ade je kat KL...ape cerrr??

Hantaran yang selambak. Scary kan....? Nak bertunang pon paling koman kene ade RM8k.

And of course, the big feast. ;)

And I must admit, I had never seen acar buah dengan buah sebijik² besar like this.

Engagement ring from Habib worth RM*k, how many carats, I just don't know. Did not ask that.

....and fellow friends, not my friends but Mino's from work-Satyam Cyberjaya. (so name rempah kari kan?)

Aiyo....geli geleman la gwe.

This day were attended by many friends from the Faculty of Info Science and Tech, MMU.

Special Entry Untuk Orang KELANTAN

Hello Diary,

It’s been like eternity since I scribbled something on you. Now I am back writing. I am glad I can do this again, thankful to the Almighty that I still can breathe the air and still be a part of this world. Alhamdulillah…

I had a busy weekend last weekend. As I was given 4 days off for this month by my employer, I decided to choose last Friday and yesterday to make use of it. And yet, I still have another one day off, which I don’t plan to use it in the nearest time. I will tell more on my weekend in the next entries.

Anyway, I just want to dedicate this entry to a friend of mine, Kuntom, who recently married to his beau, Is.

Kuntom and I first met when we were in the 2nd year of degree, through a debate competition.

It was not so long, until he decided to move to Cyberjaya to take up his course in Entrepreneurship.

But we met again last year. He had to move to Melaka since the company, (TM), sent him over for a job. And we remained as housies until I returned to KL not so long ago.

Couple of months ago, I received this card. It is an invitation card to his wedding reception in Kelantan last week. I did not go, frankly speaking.

Yes, Kuntom is a proud Kelantanese.

And I ought to say that whenever someone introduced himself or herself as a Kelantanese, my mind will jump into ONE conclusion without more ado.

Bingo, I have to admit that I have mixed feelings towards people who came from Kelantan. I don’t mind what people want to say about me being so judgmental, they have the rights to say whatever they want to say, just like me.

You may remember Kuntom from this photo.

Though I did not attend his wedding last week, I managed to spike his engagement day earlier this year. I supposed I was the only one of his university mates that attended his engagement day.

Me, being fussy about taking up a coach to Kelantan that will cost about 12 hours per way from Melaka, I decided to fly instead, on Air Asia.

Yes, it was still on a coach, but slightly better. Hmm...only 11 hours and 10 minutes quicker from point-to-point. Duh~!

So, there you are, The Kuntom’s on the pelamin.

Selamat Penganten Baru. Dan yang pastinye, Selamat Berjimak.

And that was also my first time to eat ‘Taik Itek’, a local delicacy. Apparently not so taik-looking, and tasted good too, to my surprised.

There was a time when Kuntom, I and another housie, F, were looking for new people to rent the house. After all, there was an empty room since F and I shared a room together.

And F and I were making jokes that we should interview the people first before letting them come in. This is to avoid our house from looking like:

Wazzup wazzup, Zach at the Wakaf Che Yeh, y’all!

Oh how sarcastic!

U know u love me, xoxo

Kampung Pengantin

Greetings peeps,

Last Sunday, I pindah my barang²s to rumah baru. You know, barang² I dr Melaka dulu pindah ke rumah parents now. And, it buatkan the whole house nampak cramped sgt. As you can see below, there are 10 boxes of my books alone, mase kat Mlk dulu. It looks mcm tak banyak, but when you susun² properly, in order ikut genre, author and size, you will see la kan how much space it will cost you.

I love to read. My fav books are those yang written by A. Samad Said and Ramli Awang Murshid.
Kalau English, my fav is Animal Farm written by George Orwell.

My girlpal in Mlk dulu penah cakap, yang I did not potray an IT student. It's so true! All I wanted to do after SPM dulu was nak amik Law, but you know.....bile family x permits :(

I still remember mase SPM dulu, I was the only person yang amik Kesusasteraan Melayu. Can you imagine I was surrounded dengan 6 invigilators and yang amik the exam was me alone?

I studied the subject sendiri, OK? No teacher etc. To admit, I tak dapat A1 for that paper, tapi I know it's something yang I can be proud of bile paper tu I PASSED. You know, even people yang amik KOMSAS dalam paper BM yang general tu pon dah susah, ni pulak bile you study hardcore literature. Mase tu, ade 5 textbooks I kene cover sendiri.

1 untuk drama and teater,
1 untuk puisi,
1 untuk cerpen,
1 untuk Hikayat Merong Mahawangsa (the scariest!),
and the other 1 I tak ingat, unfortunately.

Ok back to the story.
I was lucky yang my elder brother has offered me his house untuk simpan all the books etc. Not that kat rumah yang he's living now, but the other house yang dia tak pernah minat nak duduk pon.

Yang paling best is he even asked me to stay there, kate orang Melayunye mintak I jage the rumah. It's a pretty nice offer indeed. The house is fully furnished, 3 bedrooms, 2 baths and came dgn nice view. Yang I really kene ade now is a car, because locationwise, the house is located atas bukit and tak de bus yang serve the area.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

That evening pulak, I ke Kampung Pengantin in Jalan Ampang. My sister mintak I temankan her since the hubby is in Ukraine now on a business trip.

It was heavily raining that evening. I am rabun, very rabun, long sighted. And my sis pulak asking me to drive sbb dia tak make up lg. Can you imagine, bile you rabun, driving time hujan.....so kejap² brake. That resulting make up yang ala² badut on my sis. HAHA

Anyway, take a look at the photos of the wedding reception that I went that evening.

Some info:

  1. The bride tu mixed Malay and Indian

  2. And the groom tu mixed Chinese and Serani

  3. So, ape yang I nampak was a good mixture of ppl yang hadir. Same portion untuk Malay, Chinese, Indian and Serani. The most unique wedding I've even been to.

  4. The theme was garden-wedding.

  5. Was told the man behind the concept and everything was Pak Abu.

  6. The couple amik the cheapest package at minimal of MYR 15k

  7. And that 15k goes to 200 pax only.

  8. WHAT????!!!!

The interior. Flowers were everywhere.

You see, this happened bile you rush into things. I didnt realized that I slipped into this gym socks for the wedding!

Please guess what is this shyt?

Look closer! Look twice!

WTH?! I didnt know such thing does exist? It's a clutch holder. Belongs to my sis, of koz.

Table setting, so so laaa...

And out of sudden, ade sorang singh tepuk my shoulder and cakap "I know you...!" And I gave him this look.

You know, I get very² phobia and tak comfortable bile someone mention those 3 magic words. It could be a good "I know you.." and it could even be a bad "I know you...." Ask me personally, if you want to know why? But luckily, it was the 'good' one! :)

The menu. No veges on my table tho.

The dessert.

The teh tarik, or "pulled tea"

Sangkar Cinta Ziana Zain

Flower setting on the table. As you can see, ade 3 type of flowers yang mewakili 3 major kaum's in Malaysia. The berjurai2 Bunga Tanjung mewakili Indian, the Carnation mewakili Cine (like they pakai untuk offerings) and the Sundal Malam mewakili Malay. Interesting, ne?

The Bunga Tanjung I mentioned

The Sundal Malam

Another table setting

The bangku depan the rumah

The IKEA/Jonker Walk lamps

OK...event dah tamat.

Kalau you ade wedding at Kampung Pengantin someday, the place is located just a mile away from KLCC. It is just behind Holiday Inn Service Apartment in Jalan Ampang

Anyway, Congrats to the newly-wed Mikail and wifey. And on the far right is me and the one standing beside is my sis. Tak nampak macam make-up badut pulak? Haha

U know u love me, xoxo
