Sixth Ramadhan
Greetings,
So where did I break fast this Ramadhan? Let's check.
Fried Maki. To be frank, I had no idea what Maki is until I got the first bite. It was deep fried rice cake with seaweed. Sangat sedap (untuk standard orang puasa). Tapi mahal. RM 3.90 per 2 cakes. OK OK, aku sangat kedekut actually.
Our meal set. I had beef teriyaki and Luna had grilled 'ewwyy' eel. The beef was flavorful. Very nice. Inside the bento set, there were Japanese rice, tofu, steamed egg and soba soup.
So where did I break fast this Ramadhan? Let's check.
1st day--at the airport
2nd day--in the airplane, somewhere 33,000 ft in the sky
3rd day--at home with my flatmate
4th day--in Seoul with colleagues (note: SANGAT HAZAPPP!))
5th day--at parent's place
6th day--at a Japanese Restaurant called Sakae Sushi

So yeah, I was at Sakae Sushi yesterday with Luna. It was our first time there. None of us into Japanese food very much. After all, not everyone can eat Japanese food, betol tak? So we gave it a try since we pass by the restaurant pretty often on our way to our fav cafe there (see, we both are soooo eligible to be the faces of Pavilion KL). To our surprise, the food there was really GOOD.
So yesterday, we had these.
So yesterday, we had these.
We kinda agreed yesterday that from now on, on every visit to Pavilion, we will include a side visit to a new restaurant we never been to. And dear PV management, please put this into a serious consideration. We both been very loyal to your mall. Prolly you could appoint us to become your ambassadors, at least for the F&B department? LOL

Happy Fasting Month
Dear all,
Greetings. The holy Ramadan is here again.
For those who are not familiar, Ramadan is the ninth month of the Islamic calendar and is also the month of fasting.
During this month, Muslims fast between sunrise and sunset and also refrain from smoking, sexual relations, and various other desires and emotions hence it is named the holiest period for the Islamic faith (purification as some may say).
And like other Muslims, I perform my duty happily and faithfully. I believe that this is the best time to watch out the food intake and spend lesser. Spiritually and financially enriching ;)
So, I would like to take this opportunity to wish everyone out there who fasts, a Happy Holy Ramadan. May The Almighty reward us with His mercy and forgiveness.
God bless and peace.

Hari Raya Aidilfitri 2009

Greetings everyone,
Yeah! Raya is here, in less than 2 days. I really cannot wait for Raya this Sunday.
Ma have decided to change the initial plan and we all gonna balik kampung for Raya. Millions times better than celebrating it in KL.
Well, we did it once and it was awful.....! Yuck! First day of Raya dah pegi KLCC tengok wayang. Eugh....!
The metropolis will be empty, like many years before. 4 mills of KL'ites semua pon nak balik kampung (kesian sape yang takde kampung).
And the next 3 photos below were taken at Suria KLCC. This year's theme was a bit different. They used to build real kampong house at the concourse floor, but it is presented in a simpler version for this year. See below. I like the new idea. Looks very fresh!

And also this one.
And the biggest surprise is.....
My duit raya is in these hotel envelopes, OK? Haha! Well, my company doesn't provide the envelopes so I thought why not to use the envelope hotel yang banyak dikutip from my work travels. Lantak lahh......as long as dalam tu berisik, dan yang pastinya bukan duit kaler biru.TO ALL ZACHBA READERS, SELAMAT HARI RAYA AIDILFITRI, MAAF ZAHIR BATIN, ATAS BAWAH, LUAR DALAM.......HALALKAN MAKAN MINUM UTANG etc (if any)
MAY YOU ALL HAVE A SPLENDID RAYA THIS YEAR.
MAY YOU ALL HAVE A SPLENDID RAYA THIS YEAR.
I will be going back to my kampung at Negeri Sembilan tomorrow. Tido Kuching malam ni.... ;(

KPKKW
Dear Diary,
This is another old old story, that I am just about to share. I wish I can update my blog everyday. I just do not have the internet connection at home, for the time being, hence I can only update the blog twice or once a week only.
My apologies.
Anyway, these photos below were taken in Sept 5 last year. My fellow colleagues and I were attending the Buka Puasa ceremony with the Minister of KPPKW (google it!)
(*hint: I worked under the ministry if you still remember)
The event was held at the Kompleks Kraftangan (Handycraft Complex) situated at Jalan Conlay in KL. It was my maiden visit to the complex.
We were served with traditional Malay cuisine, susuai dengan bulan puasa and imej kementerian itu...

As soon as we finished makan, we took a tour around the complex. And these are some of the photos snapped on that evening.

So tell me, if aku the native of the country pon tak tau all bende² ni ade, how would the gomen nak introduce these items to the world?

Raya 2008 Pt 4
Dear Diary,
I received quite a number of queries regarding my entry here if that was my real kampong house. The answer is nah...I am not that rich to have such a big kampong house. It is not really a house actually but a museum close to my kampong--Muzium Raja Melewar. Google it if you keen to know more about the museum. I visited the museum on the third day of Raya, been long since I wanted to visit the place!
Anyway, this is the other part of my Raya 2008 entry. And BELOW is my real kampong house! Ha ha. Small, cute, nice house made from solid wood...what else to say? Just a typical kampong house (I wish the it has a common bathroom, must've been great, neh?)

And of course la, like many years before....pak sedara harus la lebey dari anak buah! Hahaha

.....to be continued.

Raya 2008 Pt 1
Dear Diary,
I am glad that the weekend is finally around the corner. That means I can sleep until the afternoon. Ha!
Anyway, as I said yesterday, here are the photos of my Raya (Eid Mubarak) this year. Well, I have like hundreds of them, so I decided to put them up part by part into my blog.
Hari Raya fell on Oct 1, Wed this year. I was actually be able to go back to my kampong only on the Raya eve. Why? Because being a lazy guy to do the lemang, kemas rumah, bakar ikan and all, I decided to stay at home in Cheras, alone, while the rest had gone few days earlier. And that resulting a lonely bday this year (Sept 28, my 21st bday, ok!)
OK, let's start from the Raya deco around the town, shall we?

Geez....what on earth is this? So like the Burmese phython skin ok! Taken at KL Times SquareRead this for my other Raya 2008 entry.
I was actually at Pavilion, alone for my buka puasa. Pathetic, it was. Before that, I managed to claimed a free movie ticket, since it was my bday and watched Black Water, an OZ movie which was really bad, believe me.

My buka puasa treat that day, just a cup of vanilla latte from Starbucks. I did not eat anything until I got back home, and it was Curry Maggi Mee. Macam nak nangis mase makan Maggi tu, not that I felt like a loser.....but dah 2 tahun tak makan Maggi. Tu yang rase sedap sangat tu sampai nak nangis! Lol
Sorry the photos are mixed up!As you can see the above, I was the only on in the hall to watch the movie. Waaaaaaahh...
