Greetings from Lebanon

Morning view from 40 000 ft above the sea level.

Wohooooo......it is snowing in Beirut!

Side to side, which one is yours? Just fyi, there are more Muslims in Germany than in Lebanon.

You have seen the Leaning Tower of Pisa in Italy .....
and now see this, the Leaning Christmas Tree in Beirut (pun intended).

From Dubai with Love.........

Baked lobster, anyone? Photo was taken at Russian Beach (Jumeirah Open Beach)

Hello....

Dubai is freakin cold!!! That is what I can tell now. The weather is so much different from my previous trip here 2 months ago. More than 40 deg Celcius back then but it is around 14 deg Celcius now at night (26 day time).

And to tell the truth, I was shivering like hell at the beach. I barely tahan the sejuk, so I stayed at the beach very sekejap.

Jumeirah Mosque

Mercato Mall.

Not so much plans for tomorrow. Will need to prepare myself for the next flight to Beirut on Friday.

Assalamualaikum, Habibi....!

The A-330 that will fly me to DXB and BEY v v.

Greetings,

I am back! How is everyone doin? And how was the weekend?

Mine was a splendid one. Had Sunday brunch (minus the bubbly) with a friend at The Westin, and then did some shopping at Pavilion. Also met up with some other friends along the way. It was really good.

And later tonight, I will be flying to Dubai again before proceed to Beirut in Lebanon on Friday. I am very much looking forward for this 1-week long trip. Will also meet up with my batch girls, Sang and Callen when I am there in Dubai. Wohoooooo!

MAS's old A300-322 seats. Now dah lain, lagi meriah ;)

I have scribbled some plans on the paper on where to visit this time. Not to Burj Dubai again, though I know the world's tallest structure will be officially opened later in this month.

I keen to visit these places, if time permits:

Dubai Museum

Mercato Mall for its Renaissance architecture

and the Russian Beach

Going to the beach should be fun!

Gotta dash. I still have not finish packing my stuffs yet.

To Betty Abas, Happy Engagement Day. Will see you when I am back to town.

A Saturday Noon at Vic Peak

Greetings from the City of Asia, HK.

I am now at Starbucks located on top of Victoria Peak sipping the Gingerbread Latte which I found to be very very nice. I love it! (a bit pricey though for a medium size at HKD 40 +/- MYR 20).

I had to change almost ALL plans for today.

I got lost at Hong Kong MRT Station and wasted an hour there looking for directions to Central MRT Station. The Hongkees keep giving me wrong directions. The 'good' thing is, another half an hour wasted at Admiralty MRT Station seeking directions to Kennedy Road. And the story goes on and on and on....

Seriously, do not ever trust Hongkees when it comes to directions. I rather ask "gweilo" aka the mat salleh who live in HK for that. Oh yeah......HK mmg je international city.

Never that I know that I can be so hopeless in HK, though I 'stayed' here once before.

Going down to Mid Levels now, and later going to Ben & Jerry ice cream shop at Lan Kwai Fong to meet a friend who lives here.

Hopefully no more getting lost on my way there. And please wait for my HK photos here ;)

My First Trip To Delhi

Dear Diary,

It's been long since I wanted to update the blog with the photos of my trip to India held recently.

How is everyone doing? I am doin' fabulous. I have just returned home from some shopping at my favorite mall in town, no other than KLCC :)

Oh yeah, I did some damage to the wallet today, and now I am broke. So, people, please feed me until end of next month, since I have no money left to buy food and all.... Ha!

Anyway, the air is filled with the smell of Raya festivities. I myself cannot wait for Hari Raya this Sunday. It will be the first Raya that I will give out 'duit Raya' to kids. Hmmm.....pokai lagi. It is truly the month of bankruptcy for me :p

Back to Delhi trip.

My trip was a short one, merely 3 days only but I had so much fun in Delhi, especially the shopping. Boi, really, I was in Bandung, I was in Bangkok, I was in almost every nook in the region but nowhere can compete Delhi in terms of shopping, in my humble opinion.

Aiyo...very the cheap la. You know, India is one of the largest textile manufacturer in the world, well..I hope you get my point.

On my first night in Delhi, few colleagues and I went to the newly opened Hard Rock Cafe, located nearby to the hotel we stay. I myself am not a big fan of HRC, at least for now. I was there just for the sake of buying some souvenirs, bukan sebab so-called nak menikmati hiburan di Delhi.

Aiyo, yang pergi clubbing kat Delhi semua jenis² pelakon Hindustan, really. Very good looking lah they all. Jauh beza dengan every-day-Indian people on the street.

The socio-economy in India
sangatlah jauh.....we are lucky to be living in Malaysia. Tak lah ikot kasta, dan yang kaya kat sini tu taklah jauh sangat dengan yang sederhana, tak macam di India. Yang kaya rumah macam Istana Negara kat KL, yang susah tu duduk dalam khemah kanvas A-frame je.

Later that night, we went for a supper at nearby McD. Look at the drinks holder below.

Actually, it is not as durable as the one in KL yang pakai plastic bag je. Yelah...air tu sejuk dengan ais, holder tu pulak made from paper, so, bile basah....senang la rabak.

And a scene at McD in India.

House fly, peeps!

And my catch from HRC.

And the newspaper from Delhi, put at the door knob.
I like the linen bag for the newspapers, tapi takde pulak gambar.

Meet my uncle?

On the next day, we continued the tour around Delhi town with the local trishaw called 'tuk²' (similar to those in Bangkok and Jakarta). One thing for sure, do bargain before taking a ride.

A tuk² generally can carry up to 5 passengers. 3 behind, and 2 in front. One at each side of the driver. Crazy neh? Believe it!

Our first pit stop was at Sarojini Market. Famous for its household items.

I LOVE that brick-and-mud wall.

Work hard, play harder and bargain 'hardest'! That's how I do things in life.

When you have so many shops to visit in so little time, this is how will it looks like. Try baju tengah jalan je OK.

Guess what, bende² lapik meja macam ni kat ASEANA dengan Ombak mahal nak mampos, kat sini they sell it for less than RM12 per set. Yes, per set. Too bad, rumah bujangku tiada dining table lagi.

And not to forget, a real scene just like those in Slumdog Millionaire.

And what I like most.

Buying postcards from places I visit.

And below are some of my other catch from Delhi.

The local version of Men's Health magazine. I am an avid reader of this magazine for ages (though I dont practice the exercise anymore due to lack of time)

Bagful of postcards. Haha!

And a fridge magnet from Taj Mahal.

I do have like tonnes of photos taken from Delhi, will try to upload more next time.

In the meantime, take care, be good and early Happy Hari Raya.

Curry Kueen

Dear Diary,

I'm back!

I have just returned home from a trip to Singapore this afternoon. I enjoyed the trip very much.

And how was your weekend? Mine was a loooong one. I did not do much over the weekend but some shopping here and there. I love shopping (and now I'm broke. Haha) :)

Anyway, I will be flying off to somewhere this August 31. I have been dreaming to visit this place for ages, and soon I will be there, for the first time. And the place is....
..

Tempat kencing.....Jemput kencing bersama :)

NEW DELHI, INDIA!

O yeah, I am very much loooking forward for the trip despite the shitty stories I heard from the senior crew before.

I don't expect much from this city, but I guess this is a typical scene in Delhi?

Biar betik orang tolak lori? Perempuan pakai sari pulak tu!

Well, I don't know. Can only tell more once I am there. I won't be there long, but I hope to do some sightseeing, if possible.

Anyone reading this from Delhi or been to Delhi before? I am curious to know your experience.

U know u love me, xoxo

(And credit to my colleague, Terence for all 3 photos above. He visited the city recently

Batavia/Betawi/Djakarta/Jakarta Trip

Greetings,

It is sunny outside. Me, enjoying the beginning of the day with a cuppa while connecting myself online. How is it going, so far? And how was the weekend?

I have just returned to KL from a 4 days trip to Sarawak, to Miri and Sibu. I enjoyed my trip a lot ;)

Did you remember about my trip to Jakarta 2 weeks ago? Yeah, the one during the bombing. Well now I am reporting to you about it.

The trip started early in the morning.
Being a crew, it is a must for each of us to check who are the pilots of the flight(s) we are doing. As I jotted down the name of the pilots, I soon realized that this particular name seemed very familiar to me. The person remained 'unidentified' until I met him.

And voila~ I was very surprised to know that the co-pilot (First Officer--just 1 step to become a Captain) was my batchmate at Bukit Bintang (BBBS)!
Haaa...!!!

We chatted a bit, and he has been flying since 5 years ago which means he attended the flying school as soon as he (we) finished the SPM, before joining the airline. And I still remember, I was in the top class at BBBS and he was in the 4th (kelas yang agak lembap student²nye since we only had 6 classes per batch), by the ranking.

And that day, I was far below him in the aircraft by job ranking. First being the pilots followed by the cabin crew. And he prolly earning like.......I don't know, RM 15-20K maybe? 10 times higher than me, a graduate from a university? Ha!
I am far from whining. You see, my point here is, life is really like a roda, kan? Today you are on top, and the other day..... well nobody knows, heh.

OK enough of him.

Later, I soon discovered that I was actually in the right place, and on the right time when it happened that the plane that carried the Manchester United (MU) team, had just landed into the airport. Oh, never that I forget to bring my camera to my flights. And below are the photos. Click to enlarge.

Sir Fergie.

The ginger man. Ah I forgot his name.

Can you see Ryan Giggs there? ;)

Owen and Rooney.
Seriously Rooney nampak fugly kat TV and newspaper. Tapi bile tengok dekat, macam good looking pulak.

Lagi satu nama tak dapat dikenalpasti berdiri depan skali.

As you may see, I was standing at the wrong place. I should have gone to the front part of the escalator. Sighh........

And hey, during my transit, I also had the opportunity to catch my bestie at university, Naz before he flying off to Melbourne later that day. I did tell you this before, heh? He was on a 9-hour transit at KLIA.
The timing was so kena for everything that day la.

Really la Naz, x bole blah la your sunglass. Yang lain takde ke?

And later, I flew off to Jakarta. Yeay!

As soon as we reached there, the 2 pilots and I went out for makan². The rest of the cabin crew couldn't be bothered to join us, tak selamat (not safe outside), as they said.

And we headed to Senayan Mall, a very upscale mall in town, just like KLCC with the difference that they only have all-Ground Floor-shops-in-KLCC at Senayan.

Ape kau penah makan nasik berharga 58,000?

Then we pusing²ed around the mall.

To my surprise, the captain who is in late 40's to early 50's was a kaki shopping. He was wearing a black Hugo jeans with nicely tucked-in YSL polo t-shirt. O yeah, he looks like Dato' Rahim Razali somehow.

Frankly speaking, I CANNOT AFFORD a thing from Senayan Mall. So, me and the co-pilot followed the Captain around where the Captain soon realized that the place does not suit my budget and says this
'Kat situ ada Sogo, kamu boleh pergi situ'
O MY LORD.....How insulted I feel to hear that!!

I know la gaji pilot berpuluh kali ganda banyak dari cabin crew, tapi takda la sampai aku shopping Sogo. Aku bukan la menghina cakap Sogo tu low class, in fact I still remembered I used to shop there when I was very little but now, aku pon ada jugak taste.
And taste aku yang pastinya bukan kat Sogo.

Nonetheless, I still followed the Captain to Sogo!

And guess what? I was so wrong. The Sogo in Jakarta is a lot better than the Sogo in KL in terms of retail offerings. They have wider choice, and advance stock-ins e.g some of the 2(x)ist underwear there are still unavailable in anywhere in KL!

We then split-ed up. I went to Kinokuniya to grab some stuffs and the 2 pilots went somewhere.
We decided to meet at a point after an hour.

And haaa! Later that I saw the Captain was happily holding a Canali paper bag when we meet! So jealous!

By the way, we were put in a very luxurious 5 star hotel namely Hotel Mulia Senayan in Jakarta.
I perhaps may say that it looooooks rather grander to be called a 5 star, prolly I should say it's a 6 star hotel, really! You may ask other crew, if you don't believe me ;)
Tak salah kalau nak samakan hotel tu sama macam Palace of Golden Horses kat KL.

Pelik kan cara orang Indon kawen.

One of the hotel lobby.

En route to Jakarta, I met another celebrity on board. She was attending the Anugerah Planet Muzik.

It's Yuna, habibi. Ala....Yuna yang ala² Betty Abas tu, tapi version yang chun lagi la :p

These are among the items that I bought from Kinokuniya Jakarta.

RM 300 worth of postcards.

Sorry for the long writings.

U know u love me, xoxo
